Then, I found an adorable poem online and tweaked it a little for each family member based on their relationship with the baby. I adhered the poem to the inside, top lid of the pizza box. Here’s the poem (author unknown):
Or put inside a frame.
I do not have soft cheeks to kiss.
I don’t yet have a name.You can’t yet hold my tiny hands,
Nor whisper in my ear.
It’s still too soon to sing a song,
Or cuddle me so near.But all will change come February 16th;
When my parents say I’m due.
I am your new grandson or granddaughter;
And I can’t wait to meet you!
All I ask between now and then
Is your patience while I grow.
I promise I’ll be worth the wait;
Because of all the love we’ll know!
So what I have to give you now,
Is a wish to you from me.
I cannot wait to be a part
Of this wonderful family!
And finally, I’ve started getting into embroidery with my new embroidery machine, so I made this adorable onesie using a pattern I found online for a pregnancy announcement.
We couldn’t be more excited! I’m halfway through the pregnancy and we’re having a girl!!! She’s going to be my little papercrafting helper – I just know it. Needless to say, I’ve been neglecting my blog a little bit, but I’m still here and I’ve got more cards to share with you over the next week or so :).
Thanks for stopping by and let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you so much, Kianna! I actually don’t make these for sale, but you may be able to find something like this on Etsy? Thank you again for your sweet comment!
Can I just say that the moment I saw this, I knew that *if* I ever was able to have kids (between infertility issues and whatnot)that I wanted to present both sets of brand new first time grandparents with this poem….well, I am now 5 weeks pregnant and cannot wait until my first dr's visit so that I can give these to them! I am beyond excited and think this poem is the sweetest thing I have ever seen!
I loved this. My youngest daughter is due to have her 1st child in July. My 11th grandchild and am just as excited as I was on my first. I'm going to borrow your poem with a little tweak for our new parents-to-be. Thank you for sharing.
Love this idea!!!! Congrats on your new addition to your family. My best friends, after 6 years of infertility, treatments, hope and prayer are finally pregnant. Due in Oct 2013 and couldn't be happier! Both Rachel and I love crafting and love new ideas. I am actually going to use that poem, put a little different take on it and send it to them for Valentine's Day! Thank you!!!
Yahoo! Congratulations Julie! 🙂
