Wreath of Lollies and a Video!

Today I'm sharing with you my Thanksgiving wreath of lollies!  This was inspired by the Stampin' Up! wreath from the introduction of the Simply Scored and I just had to try making one for myself.  I am SO HAPPY with how it turned out!  It was a lot of work to put together, but so worth the effort!  I had fun picking out the different embellishments to dress up each of the lollies.

This wreath has 18 lollies in 3 different paper widths:

6 - 1-1/2" x 11" (or 12" if using DSP)
6 - 1-1/4" x 11" (or 12" if using DSP)
6 - 1" x 11" (or 12" if using DSP)

I scored every 1/2", then flipped over the paper to score every 1/2" inch again, but started at the 1/4" mark.  To dress some of the lollies up, I used different border punches.  The key is to make your score lines first and then punch with the border punch.  It's easier to fold that way, especially when using the Lace Ribbon Border Punch.

For the foundation of the wreath, I actually cut out a wreath shape from a corrugated box (a Stampin' Up! one of course!) using a dinner plate and a bowl to trace the inner and outer circles.  Then I cut the wreath shape out using a craft knife.  To hide the ugly material I wrapped it with grosgrain ribbon - adhering each end with a hot glue gun.

All of the lollies are attached using a hot glue gun.  I attached the 6 large lollies first, then the 6 medium lollies in between the large lollies, then I adhered the small lollies on top of the large lollies.  I created a bow using our 1-1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon in Soft Suede and also created a loop to hang the wreath with and attached it to the back of the wreath.

Here's a video to show you how to create a lolly (or rosette) - at the end of the video, I will show the wreath pictured above.  If you have any questions, please let me know!  Thank you for visiting and have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!
