Foliage & Pumpkins Birthday

Happy Halloween!  And Happy Birthday to my dear Aunt Lindy!  Today's card is a birthday card for her - she LOVES pumpkins!  My inspiration for the card came from Vicki Burdick - I just love her creations.  If you're not following her blog - I recommend it!

I am hoping we'll get some trick-or-treaters tonight in our NEW HOME!  Then we can meet some of our new neighbors :).  Halloween was a big deal for me growing up, and this will be the first time I've had trick-or-treaters since high school I think!  My husband and I have either lived in apartments or condos since college, so needless to say I'm excited.

Always Elegant Birthday

Today's card is a CASE from my upline, Christina Dungca-Lico, from one of her stamp clubs.  I changed a few things, but the design is the same.  I created my own DSP by stamping the main stamp from the Always Elegant stamp set on the Pink Pirouette card stock for the scallop flower (Oops!  I just realized I should have used Blushing Bride - oh well!).  I love how the rhinestones fit perfectly into the circles from the Elegant Lines embossing folder.

By the time you read this post, we will have officially closed on our house in Alpharetta, Georgia!!  I've got one more post I'll share with you on Halloween and then hopefully a couple of days after that the moving truck will arrive with our things and I can get back to stampin'!  Thanks for stopping by today and let me know what you think!

Fresh Apples - Clean & Simple

Today's card is a clean and simple masculine card.  I still feel like it needs a little more, but I was in a hurry to make a bunch of cards before my stampin' supplies got packed up for our move!  In fact, today is our moving day!  We'll be driving from Chicago to Atlanta in our little Jetta with a Golden Retriever and two cats in the back seat - we must be crazy!  If we all survive the drive, I think the rest of the move will be a breeze :).

I am very new to watercoloring, but the Watercolor Paper really makes it easier to do.  This stamp set reminds me of my Mom - she absolutely loved apples.  This is a birthday card for a dear friend - my Mom adored him.  I hope he likes it!  Let me know what you think!

Contempo Christmas Catalog CASE

I know I've been MIA lately, but we are in the midst of preparing to move to Atlanta.  In fact, the moving truck is coming this Wednesday!  I will try to set up some blog posts in my absence, but that all depends on how much stamping I can get done before all my stampin' supplies get packed up!  I'll have my very own stampin' space in our new house, so you can bet I'll be sharing my creations with you as soon as I can unpack my supplies!

Today's card is a CASE from the Idea Book & Catalog on page 45 using the Contempo Christmas set.  I changed a few things based on the supplies I have on hand.  I am still working on coming up with a design for my Christmas cards this year, and Contempo Christmas is definitely a set I am considering.  Don't you just love this color combination together?

Happy Birthday - Day of Gratitude & Curly Cute

Today's card is a birthday card using the creative combination of Rose Red, Not Quite Navy, and River Rock from the Color Coach.

I used the Top Note Die to create the background behind the Day of Gratitude medallion.  You simply run your card stock through the Big Shot twice with the Top Note Die, but remember to turn your Top Note piece 90 degrees to create the square-ish piece.

For the Happy Birthday sentiment, I took a 3/8" strip of Whisper White card stock and punched off the ends using the Modern Label punch.

For the final touch, I added one of our wonderful antique brads to the center of the Day of Gratitude medallion.  What do you think?

Mojo Monday - Fall Happy Birthday

Today's card uses the Mojo Monday sketch from September 27 - I'm a little behind in posting!  We're in the midst of preparing to move back to Atlanta at the end of the month - so things have been a little crazy for us!  I've been creating a few cards when I can, I just haven't had much time to post!

I absolutely love the French Foliage stamp set for Fall-themed cards.  For the color scheme, I used my trusty Color Coach - Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie.  What do you think?
