Best Wishes - Masculine

One of my co-workers is transferring to the Milwaukee office as of April 1st, so I wanted to create a farewell card for him.  Pictured are both the front and inside of the card.  These are two of my favorite colors, so I had fun putting together this card - simple, clean, and masculine.

Mojo Monday 131 - Happy Birthday

Here's my take on this week's Mojo Monday challenge!  I still don't have coordinating ribbons yet, but they're on order and I should receive them on Tuesday :D!  The warning on the Stampin' Up! boxes cracks me up, but it's so true - "Caution: opening box may cause extreme excitement."  Anyway, I still like how this card turned out without ribbon.  I just learned how to make the flower at my upline's stamp club this Saturday - thanks, Tina!

Masculine Happy Birthday

Here's a birthday card for a dear friend of mine.  Let me just say that guys are tough to make cards for!  I couldn't resist using a little scalloped edge in there :).  I really like this color combination - the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper has some really great color combos to choose from.

PPA33 - A Color Challenge

This is my first Pals Paper Arts challenge!  The challenge was to use the following colors:

However, the only color I currently have of these colors is Kraft, so I substituted Glorious Green and Gable Green.  This is a birthday card for my dear Aunt Jinny - her birthday is on St. Patrick's Day, so I think the colors are perfect!

I've decided to start this blog to share my new hobby with you.  The name of my blog is in memory of my beautiful mother, Pixie.  She was a talented crafter and I learned so much from her.  Her spirit is with me as I take this new journey through papercrafting and stamping.
